ndl – final report for 2022

September was , unfortunately, not the best month for the Handcross NDL team. We were in a good position at the end of August having lost just one of our 6 matches and sitting comfortably in 2nd place behind Bordon.

We were welcomed to ABC Kirdford on 1st September where we played some good close games finally winning by 5 games to 4.

On the 16th we travelled to Bordon and, after finally reaching the piste, we were given a thrashing, losing all 9 games. Several of the games were really close and the final result did not reflect the games played. That said, we most certainly needed to finish the games off more successfully. We welcomed Simon to the team that evening  and he is still happy to try again.

The final game of the season was at home against Racing club. After 2 rounds, the score was 3 all so the final round was vital. Unfortunately, we only won the one game so we're beaten overall by 5 games to 4. Sue and Sean played exceptionally well and kept the flag flying but still not enough to get the win.

Thanks to all who have played this year. We ended up by just scraping 3rd overall behind Bordon and Racing Club.
