NDL Round-Up 2019

Unfortunately, the NDL squad didn’t finish the season in a blaze of glory. Before our final 2 matches we had won 3 and lost 3 so at least one win would have allowed us to break even.
On Tuesday 20th August we made the trek to Bordon. Having finally found our way in, we set to with enthusiasm. By the end of the first round we had won 2 of the 3 games so were greatly encouraged. After the second round, we were trailing 4/2 which meant all 3 of the last had to be won. In reality we won another game, hence we lost 3/6 to Bordon.
The following afternoon saw another team heading off to Cranleigh with determination to get a win. Again things didn’t go our way and all 3 of the first games were lost! With renewed vigour, all 3of the second round were won which left all to play for. Sadly Handcross only took one more game so we had lost again with a final result of 5/4 to Cranleigh.
Many thanks to all who have played, supplied refreshments and driven to the various venues. All players have enjoyed the challenge of playing on different terrains and meeting up with other players. We are looking to next year and hope our club coach may be able to instil better winning tactics into our team.
