Hallowe’en Melee and Fireworks
25 members attended our firework melee on Sat 3rd November. With many members new to the club this year, attending the melee, we decided to pair them with a more experienced member.
Each played 2 games, some of which were very close, and in the end Christine Howard and Tony Capon narrowly won the best lady and man of the evening.
Tasty soup made by several of our members was then enjoyed before the main event. John Bailey took on the role of lighting the fireworks brought along by members. To many bangs and oohs the fireworks lit the sky around the piste. Some of the more spectacular even got a round of applause.
A good evening was had by all and our thanks go to Barbara for organising the games and Moira, Julie and Brenda for making the soup, not to mention John (and torch holder, Mike) for the fireworks.
