HOW about having a go at the game of Boules?

Handcross Petanque Club is holding an Open Day at its Handcross piste on the above date between 10.00 and 12.30

YES, it's that French game but there is a thriving community of about 12,000 players in England and it's gaining in popularity.

Boules is a game which is accessible to all. It can be played by anybody, regardless of age, gender or ability.

What's more, there are no formalities such as uniforms and it's a very easy game to pick up. Above all it's a social game.

Everybody is welcome!

Many people play for fun, but boules can also be very competitive if you want it to be.

At Handcross we play in two leagues, including the highest league in the Southern Region. There are open tournaments most weekends at the numerous other clubs around the region. One of our players has just been selected to play for England in an international competition.

Just come along! We're on the Recreation Ground in Handcross, by the Pavilion and Playground (nearest post code RH17 6DU)

We play year-round on Sundays from 10.00 to 12.30; and on Wednesdays from 17.00 to 19.30 in Summer and 10.00-12.30 in Winter.

You can just turn up at one of these sessions, or we've got a 'Come and Try' day on Sunday 14 July with refreshments.

We can provide coaching and lend you boules to get started, so why not come along and join our friendly group and have a go at playing boules? it's a great game which we guarantee you will enjoy!
