Handcross Petanque organises a number of popular social events throughout the year. These include a New Year Celebration Melee, Quiz, Treasure Hunt, MidSummer BBQ, Hallowe’en and Fireworks melees, etc. In past years we have also held Race Nights, a French Cafe and Skittles tournaments. We also maintain a friendly association with Calais-based club La Fanny Coquelloise with whom we hold an annual friendly tournament over a weekend in either Calais or Handcross alternately. Additionally we organise ‘Splat the Egg’ competitions at local Summer fetes which always prove to be very popular with the public.
Our intended 25-Year Gala Celebration Dinner which we had arranged to be held in August 2020 has unfortunately been postponed owing to the Covid-19 restrictions. We hope there will be an opportunity to re-schedule this in 2021.
